A word from Pablo De Simon
Thanks so much for coming Guys, this was a really fantastic. I love sharing my wines with new audiences. Wine and winemaking are my passion and the more people I can show them to the better! I also really loved meeting all of you, wine without people is much less fun than wine shared.
You can learn more about Pablo's families winery on their website.
Here are some other famous Bodegas
founded in Haro in 1932, this is one of the most well known Bodegas in Rioja. Yet despite it's size and renown it's maintained family ownership and they have kept soul in their winemaking.

Bodegas Palacios Remondo
This Bodega is in Baja, the most southerly region in Rioja, creating wines that are big bold and juicy.
This Bodega has been revitalised by the return of a prodigal son, Alvaro Palacios. Alvaro had left the family Bodega to create his own line of wines, Priorato, now he has returned to his family winemaking home. Under his stewardship the Bodega has decreased the quantity of it's wine produced by 60% per year whilst increasing quality to previously inconcievable levels. The prices are still affordable and well worth checking out when you see them.
If You Like Rioja Then Try:

Argentinian Malbec:
Argentina's most famous grape. A fruity and smooth wine that pairs magically with lean red meats and blue cheese.
Buying Guide:
The Uco Valley and Luján de Cuyo in Mendoza consistently produce top-rated Malbec wines. If you want really high quality look for manually harvested grapes. If the wine has also been aged for 15–24 months prior to sale that is another indicator that it is high quality

Bordeaux
Tasting of Black Currant, Plum, and Cedar these med-full Bodied wines are bursting with mineral and fruit notes.
Buying Guide:
It is difficult to find good red Bordeaux for under £20
Wines from Pomerol and Saint-Emilion are softer and less tannic than those from Medoc and Graves.
Regional Crus are generally better value than the Bordeaux wide crus e.g. Crus Classés de Saint-Émilion & Crus Bourgeois.
